How Does Invisalign Treatment Work?
Invisalign treatment works through a series of clear, removable mouth trays that steadily shift your teeth into the appropriate place. To start, we will take impressions of your teeth, which will be sent to a lab where your custom clear aligners will be made. We will then ask you to return to pick up your first pair. Your aligner trays must be worn over your teeth for a minimum of 20 – 22 hours every day and only removed right before brushing your teeth, flossing, eating, or drinking. Every 1 – 2 weeks, you must swap out your current set of aligners for the next set. You will need to schedule regular in-office checkups so Dr. Frias Landa can monitor your progress. For virtual Invisalign consultations, we may ask you to send pictures of your teeth to help us decide if you are a candidate for Invisalign treatment.
