What to Expect from Traditional Metal Braces
During your initial consultation, we will examine your teeth by taking digital or physical impressions, along with x-rays. With these images, an individualized treatment plan will be created by Dr. Frias Landa for the particular condition of your mouth. When you return to get your braces, your teeth will be thoroughly cleaned before we apply the brackets. After we've painted a bonding agent to your teeth, the metal brackets will be placed. Once they are all attached, Dr. Frias Landa will thread the archwire through them with the color of your choice. The application process typically moves fairly quickly. You should expect to return to our office once a month so we can monitor your progress and make adjustments as needed. |
