How Does BOTOX® Work?
At your initial consultation, our staff will carry out a skin analysis to decide which areas should receive BOTOX treatment. Since BOTOX is provided during a quick, in-office procedure, your injections can typically be carried out during the same visit. The formula will be injected into the designated areas of your brow or face using a fine-gauge needle. Derived from a clean type A strain of botulinum toxin, BOTOX works to temporarily relax the facial muscles, letting the skin rebound over time. After we decide on the amount of filler that is needed, we will slowly and gradually inject it through a fine-gauge needle. You can expect some swelling and bruising right after, but these symptoms should fade away within a couple of days.
