What To Expect from Inlays and Onlays
After applying local anesthesia to numb your gums, Dr. Frias Landa will begin by removing regions of decay. Other sedation methods can be used if you have anxiety or a strong gag reflex. Once the tooth is cleaned, dental impressions will be made. If you are receiving a restoration made in a lab, a temporary cover will be placed until it is prepared. Once your inlay or onlay is ready, Dr. Frias Landa will carefully place and then bond it to your tooth. She may polish the edges or adjust the fit so that your tooth is suitably coated and feels comfortable.
