Typically, a tooth that has been weakened by decay or damage can be repaired with a dental crown. Dr. Dasha Frias Landa and her team are pleased to construct and provide these custom restorations at our state-of-the-art practice in Naples, FL using the fastmill.io™ In-Office Mill by Glidewell. Dental crowns are designed to blend beautifully with your other teeth and can restore broken, decayed, or oddly shaped teeth. Crowns may also be fused into an appliance to create a dental bridge or bonded to individual dental implants to treat teeth that are missing. The Dental Crown Procedure
The crown process commonly takes place throughout two appointments, but with our in-house fast milling machine, we can construct and place your dental crown all in the same office visit. During your appointment, Dr. Frias Landa will administer a local anesthetic to your tooth and gums and may use other sedation methods to enhance your comfort level if preferred. After the affected portion has been removed, an impression of the treated tooth will be captured and used by our fastmill.io In-Office Mill to fabricate your unique crown. In about an hour or less, your customized dental crown will be ready to be placed, reducing the need for a return visit.
