When any of your teeth have fallen out, it's more than just a cosmetic issue because missing teeth may cause your remaining teeth to shift out of place. This may lead to increased pain during chewing or even difficulty speaking. A dental bridge restores the look and health of your smile by filling in gaps with a false tooth supported by either dental implants or your natural teeth. How Do Dental Bridges Work?
Once your supporting teeth are prepped, Dr. Frias Landa will take digital x-rays and dental impressions so your bridge can be created. We use a fast milling machine at our Naples, FL office to fabricate the dental bridge. As soon as your bridge is ready, your mouth may be prepped with local anesthesia. Other sedation methods may be used if you have anxiety or a strong gag reflex. The dental bridge will either be glued into its position or attached to dental implants, based on the method chosen during your consultation. Dr. Frias Landa will adjust the fit of the bridge so it is comfortable and remains in place.
